Make the first contribution on your sponsor form. Ask family, friends, and coworkers to sponsor you with checks made payable to AIDSWalk/CARES. Your help is needed now more than ever as we have more people living with HIV/AIDS in our community than at any other point in the epidemic. Join us in Washington Park, Albany, on Sunday, September 30, 2007. The walk is a comfortable stroll around Washington Park or you may stay at the Lakehouse and wait for the after walk festivities. Plan to stay after the walk for: n refreshments n entertainment n a display of the NAMES Project Memorial Quilt n informational tables from local agencies which provide HIV services n an awards ceremony for highest money raisers
Money is collected up front – no cents per mile or going back to collect. Funds raised stay here in the Capital Region and the National AIDS Fund will contribute $1 for every $2 we raise. Raise $500 or more and receive an AIDSWalk 2007 sweatshirt, t-shirt, & other prizes! Turning in money… Bring your sponsor form and checks to the Albany Damien Center & PAWS table at the Washington Park Lakehouse at 1:00 P.M. on the day of the walk. Please convert all cash to a check made payable to AIDSWalk/CARES. Avoid the Lines! Albany Damien Center walkers and PAWS NY Capital Region walkers can turn in sponsor forms and money at our backyard BBQ on Saturday, Sept. 29 between 2 and 5 PM at the Albany Damien Center, 12 South Lake Ave, Albany. Parking available! Rain or Shine… The walk will take place even if it rains. Should hazardous weather force cancellation of the walk, you will be credited for your efforts and asked to turn in your sponsor form and checks to your team leader. Questions???
